Our Story
Hello, we are Brant and Lauren Pippin. Welcome to our farm!
We are a couple committed to producing clean, easily accessible and sustainable food for our customers through the practices of regenerative agriculture.
Since Brant was a young boy, he has always had a passion for all things nature. When he was little, he would spend hours pouring over nature encyclopedias, catching and examining bugs, planting gardens, and raising chickens. As he got older and started learning about the practices of regenerative agriculture, it became his dream to one day have his own farm and begin contributing to the restoration of our enviroment in his own way.
In 2011, Brant met Lauren after she moved to Tennessee from Arkansas. Like Brant, she had a love for the outdoors and nature.
In 2019, when Brant and Lauren started dating, they found that their interests in farming collided and after they got married in September of 2021, they started working on their dream together. They moved to a 20+ acre property and it was there that the concept of Pippin Family Farm was started. With Lauren working on the business aspect and Brant being the mastermind behind the management of the farm, their dream started to take life in early 2022. Working as software developers during the day and as farmers in the mornings/evenings, their dream became a reality as they started raising their first pastured Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs on the farm, along with bees, chickens, ducks, and guineas. They have great things planned for 2023, and will be adding some Katahdin Sheep to the farm family!
Our Mission
Influenced by the practices of people like Greg Judy, Joel Salatin, Allan Savory and others, here at Pippin Family Farm, we seek to practice farming in a way that is intended to heal degraded ecosystems, emphasize biodiversity, improve the natural water cycle, prevent desertafication, and sequester CO2. Leading to healthier animals, healthier humans, and a healthier planet! 🌎
